When will St. Louis, St. Louis County, and this region be smoke-free?

Currently, there are a variety of coalitions working toward comprehensive smoke-free policy change in our cities, counties, and state.  On November 3, 2009, St. Louis County passed Proposition N, triggering the enactment of the St. Louis City Clean Air Act of 2009. On January 2, 2011, all workplaces, restaurants, and bars bigger than 2000 sq feet in St. Louis City will be smoke-free.  In St. Louis County, on January 2, 2011, all restaurants and workplaces will be smoke-free.  The law exempts bars with at least 75% liquor sales and casinos, allowing smoking there after 1/2/2011.  To learn more about specific efforts, please CONTACT US.
