Yesterday, I talked to St. Louis health commissioner Melba Moore, who, herself, asked: "The question is, how do we enforce this at night?" Moore's department of roughly 200 emloyees works 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. 642-731 with just a few officers on call for evening emergencies. If the bill passes, Moore says she plans to sit down with the police and city sheriff's office to see how they might partner with the health department to enforce the ban. 642-892 "This is something that needs to happen for the health of the city," 642-973 says Moore. "We'll figure out a way to enforce it."
Hmm. 642-973 Something tells me Illinois lawmakers had similar ideas when they passed their ban.
